i've been using firefox at work for the last two weeks, and i miss opera like you wouldn't believe.

Most of the "extentions" for firefox, come in Opera as standard, plus a bucket load more!

I've hated FireFox since it came out, i never thought it was worth the script it was programed from.

In my eye's, firefox is only useful as a small stepping stone, for people to go from IE, to Opera, because Opera is so much more advanced.

That's horable...!
old news, those firefox vulnerabilities are completely patched already, the IE vulnerabilities are still open offcourse.
Only reason i still use IE besides FF is windows update.
But i have allways been a netscape/mozilla user, i even started internetting with netscape 1.0, Internet explorer didn't even exist.

I really don't think it's a stepping stone. It's more like a light bower that you can add what ever you want into.

yes, and not all sites support firefox, there is not a site on earth not supported by internet explorer. i thought tabs were cool... but they just got in the way. also... the download manager is a piece of crap for firefox. the only reason i keep it is so i can save page as what it really is. (mp3.... ie just does html) but theyre fixing that in v7. also microsoft has some cool ext for ie, theres the developers toolbar which can do cool stuff.... not many extentions though. i use ie because it is the default browser of the internet and never fails me. try taking firefox to intense online gaming sites; either it wont work or the page just loads as "this page only supports ie". firefox is for looks, thats all.

Then give Maxthon a try. InX put me onto that . . . and I haven't looked back. It uses IE's engine, so, all pages are rendered as if using IE, but you get tabs, WAY more customization . . . I'm sure once IE7 comes out of it's beta phases I'll probably go back to that but . . . . Maxthon's the way to go if you want Firefox functionality with an IE engine.

Firefox is evil... I hate it but i use it all the time because of its plugin capability... so Firefox is only as good as its plugins. I tried IE7. There is a definate improved speed, and microsoft update takes two seconds! has tabs, and is just plain awesome. the only thing wrong with the beta is when you click on links, sometimes nothing happens. Its new rendering of javascript makes winamps shoutcast die though...
